ReportThe Volla Community Days 2023 on May 20-21 were characterized by a terrific atmosphere, creativity and innovation. Up to 30 users, developers and partners participated on-site and well over 300 via live broadcast and our Telegram chat. Guests from Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands and the USA traveled to the event and made the international Volla community visible and tangible. One of the stars of the two days was undoubtedly the new Volla Phone X23, which interested parties could not only try out on site. Some were able to take their rugged smartphone for double security right away from the small first edition.

While the fourth generation based on Android 12 is due for Volla OS, the public beta of a fundamentally revised version based on Ubuntu 20.05 is already available for Ubuntu Touch. More than 230 participants watched our livestream with presentations, interviews and discussions. 20 participants took the opportunity to talk to the Volla team on site at our location in Remscheid, to ask questions and exchange ideas. Partners reported about the Volla Phone for confidential patient data or the smartphone for visually impaired people.

ReportOver 200 users, developers and partners attended Volla Community Days 2021 this year, with 16 talks and demonstrations. Up to 50 simultaneous participants followed our event via live broadcast and discussed on Telegram about further alternative Linux operating systems for the Volla Phone, progress for Android apps under Ubuntu Touch and of course the new Volla Phone X. 2 developers can look forward to our new smartphone for their results in our hackathon, which will be released in August and can be pre-ordered now.
