Improved privacy protection

Android 15 brings new security features such as stricter conditions for launching apps and background activities. The system can also warn users when security-relevant functions such as camera and microphone access are being used. Additional privacy protection can be achieved for selected apps by declaring them as private apps.

More convenience and personalization

A new feature is split-screen support for displaying two apps simultaneously, which is particularly suitable for large displays such as those on tablets. Advanced personalization is possible with freely definable modes that go beyond the previous Do Not Disturb function and can be linked to notification and display settings. Another new feature is the ability to archive apps. This deletes the app but retains the app data and settings. This allows users to free up space at short notice and then easily reinstall an app later without having to set it up again. A practical feature is the ability to define quick command buttons on the lock screen, for example to open the camera or activate the flashlight.

New capabilities for the springboard

Volla Launcher 4 adds new features to the Volla home screen. Users can now add a new contact directly from the smart text field or add it to the quick menu for speed dialing. The quick menu also gets a new entry for convenient redialing.
Users can now define their own groups for the app overview. Long-pressing an app icon opens a context menu to enable the option for custom groups and then add them.

Installation instructions

To install the update, go to “System” in the system settings and select “System update.” Please note that you can only update the system to the next higher Android version to avoid system errors. So, from Volla OS 13 to Volla OS 14 first, and then to Volla OS 15.
