Monthly updates of Volla OS

Thanks to the dedicated Volla development team and corresponding processes and infrastructure, users can now expect monthly system updates of Volla OS. This means that the security updates of the Android Open Source Project on which Volla OS is based can be applied at short notice. At the same time, we can fix bugs and introduce new functions more quickly. We would like to thank all beta testers who help us with quality assurance. More testers are welcome. Development status

Good news for all users of Ubuntu Touch: The version OTA-3 has been released by our partner UBports foundation. Our development team is working hard on Ubuntu Touch for the multi-boot function of the Volla Phone 22. Due to new displays, we had to increase the hardware abstraction from Halium 11 to Halium 12. Most recently, the sound input and output for phone calls was missing, which is currently being tested for the release of a beta version.

We also successfully tested Sailfish OS for the Volla Phone X23, which we are now preparing for the multi-boot function. Our thanks go to community developer Adam Pigg for bringing the popular operating system from Finland to our latest rugged phone.

For Volla OS, our development team is working on the long-announced voice recognition feature, which is more sophisticated than expected. We are in the home stretch here and are still working on transferring the sound input to the artificial intelligence to convert it into text for evaluation and translation.

All those for whom the multi-boot function was previously too complicated can also be pleased. A new version with simplified operation is in preparation for the next update. We would like to thank community developer Nick for his great preparatory work.

Behind the scenes, we are researching and developing new products and functions. It's an exciting time. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters, users, partners and suppliers.

Delivery status

After a delivery delay by our supplier, sufficient Volla Phone X23 are now available again. Our flagship model Volla Phone 22 is now also back in stock in all variants for immediate shipment.

Some users expressed concern about the insolvency filing of our supplier Gigaset Communications. The insolvency is a self-administered insolvency for restructuring purposes. We see the best prospects for the future of our supplier thanks to its uniquely efficient and flexible production technology in Germany. Meanwhile, business will continue without restriction.

Volla is also an independent manufacturer and we are already working with other suppliers as part of our risk management. We are pleased that, despite the recession and inflation in Germany and the EU, we are expecting an increase in sales of around 20% for our online store alone this year. We would like to thank our active community, the many people who recommend us or work with us on the implementation.
