Volla on site

The Volla Phone models will be increasingly visible in the trade. Currently you can try all models and operating systems at Urbanbird in Milano Shopping Center in Stuttgart and get advice. From the second half of March you can also find us in Berlin at The Latest on Kurfürstendamm.

Volla OS Source

We are happy to announce that we could keep our promise and publish the source code of our Volla OS under the Volla License 1.0 on Github. We want this transparency to build trust and encourage developers to participate in further development.

Early on, we had parts of Volla OS published. We would like to thank everyone who helped us with development, be it bug fixes, new features or translations. Support for additional languages is welcome.

Volla Launcher

The latest beta version of the Volla Launcher, the system interface of Volla OS, now supports sending multimedia messages (MMS) directly from a conversation found in the collections, in addition to text messages (SMS). Other new features are in the pipeline.

Fingerprint sensor for Ubuntu Touch

With the latest OTA-22 update of Ubuntu Touch, the fingerprint sensor is now available for the Volla Phone X. Go to "Security" under the system settings to create a fingerprint there and select it for unlocking the device.

We had to upgrade the hardware abstraction software to a new version for this. The effort was worth it. Because the user experience is significantly better by simply unlocking.
