With the unique multi-boot function, you can install Volla OS and Ubuntu Touch on the same device. Then simply decide which operating system you want to use when you start up. Other operating systems are also available for some models or are being prepared by the Volla developer community.

With Volla OS, you decide for yourself who you share which data with and when. It is based on the open source Android without Google Apps, without Google Play Services and without the Google Cloud. There is also no Volla account. Your data belongs to you.
And if you want to use an app that requires Google Play Services, you can activate the open source alternative microG.

The Volla Cloud is part of the Volla OS. It is based on Holochain technology and does not use a single data center for processing or storing data. Rather, the Volla Cloud is created by networked smartphones and other devices.
One of the first applications is the secure messenger “Relay”, which allows both highly encrypted exchange of messages to contacts with secure identity and moderated groups. For each message exchange, be it to a person or a group, a separate network is created for maximum cyber security.
